Italvacuum delivers an integrated vacuum drying system to UCB

Italvacuum has completed the supply of a fully integrated vacuum drying system for UCB, a global biopharmaceutical company focused on developing innovative therapies for people living with severe diseases. 

Engineered around UCB Swiss affiliate’s specific process and production requirements, the turnkey solution combines three CRIOX® System RBG600 rotary vacuum dryers with all the main auxiliary units required for pharmaceutical vacuum drying. 

A complete turnkey vacuum drying solution 

At the heart of the system are three CRIOX® System RBG600 biconical rotary vacuum dryers, equipped with electric lump breakers to promote homogeneous drying and the progressive powdering of the product during the process. 

The complete scope of supply includes: 
 

• Three CRIOX® System RBG600 rotary vacuum dryers with electric lump breakers  

• Dedicated heating and cooling units  

• Solvent condensation units  

• Saurus939® high vacuum unit with roots booster 

• Electrical cabinets  

All components have been engineered and integrated as a single system, ensuring compatibility between the different process units and coordinated control of temperature, vacuum and solvent condensation throughout the drying cycle.
