Vacuum driers for chemical and pharmaceutical industries

Italvacuum, a private limited company founded in 1939, since the beginning has designed and manufactured vacuum driers and industrial vacuum pumps for the main production processes of chemical, fine chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries

Vacuum driers are used for the treatment of wet powders coming from filtration and centrifuge processes. In order to dry these dense cakes vacuum driers are coupled with vacuum pumps that permit to intake and extract solvents vapours and water present in products to be treated.

Vacuum pumps, besides in vacuum drying processes, are also used in those of distillation, reaction and cristallization.

Italvacuum designs and manufactures both static driers with cabinet shape and inner shelfs and rotary driers. These last can be both biconical and cylindrical.

Vacuum driers with double cone shape represent the bottonhole flower of Italvacuum drying technology. Equipped with lumpbreakers in order to obtain fine powders, this type of vacuum driers, named CRIOX System, has gained an international success during the years: there are more than 400 units manufactured from their introduction up to date.

Vacuum driers with cylindrical shape, named TUMBLE Dryer, are chiefly used for drying, mixing and condensing granulated plastics.

Italvacuum, besides the renewal of its vacuum pump, has recently devoted itself to enhance and expand its range of vacuum driers. New devices for loading and unloading the CRIOX System and new equipments for washing vacuum driers with cabinet shape have been in this way introduced.

Furthermore the approach to innovation that has always characterized Italvacuum drying technology has recentrly brought to the launch of a new vacuum drier: the Planex System, patented horizontal paddle dryer. Thanks to the adopted technical solutions, among as the eccentric agitator with indipendent movements for a combined double totation, Planex System represents the vacuum drier with higher technological content today present on the market, being particularly suitable for the production of fine chemicals and APIs.

In addition, given the importance of welding to end product quality, Italvacuum has certified its processes and personnel to ISO 3834-2.
