Analysis by the Politecnico di Torino

To develop original and innovative products, Italvacuum also draws on the expertise of the Politecnico di Torino. This was done in designing the Planex® System, where the Politecnico Department of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering assisted in investigating the type of agitator to be used. The Department’s analysis demonstrated that in the Planex® System, thanks to the particular configuration of the eccentric agitator, the mechanical and thermal stresses on the products are significantly below those found in conventional paddle dryers, thus making it possible to consume less electricity.

Italvacuum also benefited from collaboration by the Politecnico di Torino in testing the suitability and performance of the solutions adopted for the SAURUS939 vacuum pump.
A study carried out by the Department of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering proved that the Italvacuum piston pump is not only outstanding because of its unmatched performance, negligible oil consumption and absolute reliability over time, but also for the purity of the end product obtained when it is used (uncontaminated vacuum).
